For the people who don’t know, the rhino horn is prized in China & Vietnam for its mythical healing powers. Sadly the truth is, it has zero healing powers, its essentially a giant toe-nail. Made up of the same keratin protein that your finger & toe nails & hair is made up of.

As demand reduction campaigns will take time to take effect, these types of rhino translocation activities are crucial to save the species. With only 15,000 white rhino left [5000 black, 3,100 greater one-horned, 90 Sumatran and 50 Javan] – We are beyond in critical danger of losing these majestic animals.

Why should you care?

Simply put, the illegal trade is funding terrorist groups, like Boko Haram, Al Queda, Janjaweed and Al Shabab. By buying Ivory or rhino horn or any endangered animal parts you are buying bullets and C4 for terrorists. Watch Katherine Bigelows short animated film below.

What can you do?

Share this, get involved with WILDAID or THE SILENT HEROES FOUNDATION – The key is to not sit on your hands. Now you know the truth. What are you going to do about it?

I’m producing a documentary film called Project Unicorn. I’ll be posting updates on here.
